Okay, I’m 11 wks and planning on finding out the gender. Something I’ve noticed is that it’s hard to discuss the baby without using gender terms (or "it" which I hate).
Lately I’ve just been calling the baby by whatever fruit the book says is the same size that week. So this week the baby is My Little Kiwi Fruit.
Any of you have cute names you call yours by before you knew boy or girl?

We had twins so they were Thing 1 and Thing 2 (from Dr. Seuss) during the pregnancy.
A lot of women call their little ones "peanut" or "bean"
Love your fruit names!
Congrats and best wishes!
I think most of the time we just say "the baby". But "bean" has also been a name too. I hate referring to babies as "its" too!
my nickname is turtle, so thats what we have dubbed our baby lil turtle. My man always talks about his turtles. We are not finding out the gender so we love the turtle theme, green and yellow. Its very cute :)
We have used peanut, bean, and gummy bear. I am loving the fruit names too. Super cute!
well my best friend went and got us a onesie right after she found out that I was pregnant and it said "daddies little squirt" and it has a little sperm on it with a big huge smiley face and everything, so we have kinda resorted to calling the baby squirt lol. So now its either Squirt or Little One that we use the most.
We called the baby peanut before we knew the sex. We still call him peanut on occasion. When I had my first ultrasound though I was only 6 weeks so he was the size of a grain of rice, so for a week or so we called him out little grain of rice, but that was short lived. We stuck with peanut for a long time.
Haha…I know what your saying. My wife and I usually just call our baby "our baby". Thats funny that you call your baby by comparison to fruits.
