Skylanders Giants – An Interactive World Awaits
My son has the original Skylanders game and I was lucky enough to play it with him. Essentially, Skylanders Giants is an expansion pack to the original, which lets you enter a video game as your Skylander by placing the model on the Portal of Power. The Skylander will then transform into the game and you can control him through adventures in the world of Skylands, battling monsters and learning special abilities and powers. There are 30 different Skylanders to collect, each bringing unique abilities to the table.
With Skylanders Giants, your Skylander is able to call in the help of a friendly Giant Skylander, again by using the Portal of Power – these giants will be able to do things in-game that the smaller and somewhat weaker, physically, Skylanders was unable to do, opening up new content and areas never accessed before.
The great thing about Skylanders Giants is that you can head over to your friend’s place and continue to play with them – this has to be the most impressive kid’s video game ever released on any gaming platform. After reading all the info over the internet, I’m heading straight out to buy Skylanders Giants for him and of course, I’m hoping he’ll let me play it too!

Potentially Very Costly
To unlock 100% of the game, you will need to buy every Skylanders Giants figurine as well as the Skylander’s ones. They aren’t expensive on their own, but considering there are over 30 of them, your wallet won’t like it too much eventually. That being said, your child can enjoy the game immensely without having to experience every Skylander and so most will be OK with not having every single one of the Skylanders Giants.
