Soy baby formula is NO-NO! See this video here.

December 19, 2015 By Pilar Estefana

This is an article review about Soy baby formula.

milk protein and that soy baby formula is better than breast milk, so following their doctors advice, many parents are quick to make the switch to soy anticipating that it will calm the upset their baby is experiencing on milk formula.

Soy baby formulaSome babies have a very hard time digesting what is in most formulas. This can lead to a very unhappy baby due to colic and stomach problems. It can also result in them vomiting and having diarrhea. One option that your child’s pediatrician may recommend for you is to try soy baby food.

Some parents are very afraid to give their baby soy formula though due to false claims in society. There have been rumors out there in society that just won’t die down. One of them is that giving baby boy’s soy formula will result in them being gay. This is due to them having enzymes that are feminine in nature. There is no scientific evidence to substantiate such claims though. Yet too many parents aren’t willing to take a risk with it.

There have also been reports that soy baby formula can lead to a child developing a form of cancer known as leukemia. Again, there isn’t any substantial information out there to verify such claims. If it were true soy baby formula wouldn’t even be allowed to be marketed.

Here a video about Soy baby formula

Child Care & Development : Soy Formula Side Effects

Soy baby formula is a very safe alternative for babies that just can’t seem to digest other forms of baby formula. Some many have a food allergy and others may just have a very sensitive digestive system. For infants born prematurely, soy baby formula can offer them the nutrition they need without the painful side effects.

Most retailers sale soy baby formula so you won’t have any problems finding it. You will find it is more expensive though than other types of baby formula. Still, no parent wants to stand by and watch their child suffer needlessly due to their current formula not settling well with them. Make sure you discuss changing to a soy baby formula with the doctor first.

They will likely give you some samples of soy baby formula for your baby to try for a few days. If that goes well and you aren’t seeing the symptoms that you did before with other forms of baby formula then it may be a long term switch. Very few infants have a hard time digesting soy baby formula but if yours does you need to let your doctor know immediately.

Soy baby If you are hand raising a litter than soy baby formula is the best substitute. formula is usually the choice when a baby is allergic to cow’s milk or has trouble digesting lactose. Soy baby formula is available at most supermarkets.

Tylenol For Infants and more all about babys.

August 26, 2010 By Pilar Estefana

Tylenol For Infants and babies

There are going to be times when you have to offer your infant some pain relief. Though you can hope that they fly through baby-hood without any problems that are rarely the case. Most babies develop a fever at one point or another, and there is always the pain that comes with teething. It is hard to know what is wrong at times, but it can be obvious that a baby is in pain and needs help from you. There are a few things you can do for your baby, but Tylenol for infants is what many doctors, nurses, and parents trust, and for a very good reason.

You may have seen a lot on the news about the dangers of giving children under two years of age any type of over the counter medication for things like fever, cold, flu, or pain. Some products were pulled off the market because it was proven that they did more harm than good to these children. Tylenol for infants was not one of these products. Any new parents should make sure that they have this in stock in the event that they need to use it, but they should never just use it on a whim. A doctor should always be consulted.

Tylenol for infants is great at reducing fever. If your baby has a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or more, parents should call a doctor immediately. In some cases, there is an obvious reason why they have a fever and other times, the reason is unknown. They will recommend how much Tylenol for infants should be given to the baby to bring the fever down and then further instructions can be given. Many babies will get sore legs and a slight fever after immunizations, making Tylenol a good thing to have on hand. Your doctor or nurse may even suggest giving it right after just to make the baby comfortable.

Some parents have an easy time when their babies are teething. These babies seem to handle the pain rather well and need nothing more than a teething ring and some topical gel to soothe the pain away. Other children, however, do not deal with teething as well. They are in a lot of pain and need help. They may even get a slight fever from cutting teeth. When this happens, a doctor may recommend that a baby has Tylenol for infants to help with the pain, at least temporarily. Once the tooth comes through, the pain should be all but gone and the baby will feel just fine.

There are cautions parents should keep in mind when using Tylenol for infants. Always talk to a doctor or nurse about what is going on before using it. Always make sure the bottle that you have is current and that it has not been recalled for any reason. Give the exact dosage that will help the baby, and if you are not sure, call the doctor back to make sure. You do not want to give them too much or it could harm them. Wait the appropriate amount of time before giving a second dosage and do not give it longer than your doctor recommends.

Fibroids pregnancy and a healthy baby

August 26, 2010 By Pilar Estefana

My nephew, Connor, was born on July 28, 2009, and it was a bit of a miracle that he was healthy. Because, as it turns out, he wasn’t the only thing growing in my sister in law’s midriff.

The simple fact is that fibroids pregnancy is one of the hardest kinds of pregnancy to go through. And when it comes to a fibroids pregnancy, my sister in law takes the cake. Because she had a fibroid so large that they essentially delivered it along with Connor during the procedure. It was larger than a hockey puck, and the doctor had never seen one that big before. She actually had my brother take a picture of it (and being of that sense of humor, he happily obliged).

It wasn’t all smiles over the previous nine months, however. At various times the doctors thought that they might lose the baby because the fibroids pregnancy was so severe. She had specialists from all over the northeast part of the United States come and examines her (which she jokes about now, but at the time was pretty uncomfortable. Something about being in the stirrups and having a dozen strangers looking at one’s nether bits was just a bit more than she, or anyone really, wanted to go through during a pregnancy). They blasted her with x-rays, debated endlessly over how to treat the fibroids, and basically treated her like she was the greatest science experiment they had ever seen.

This isn’t to criticize the doctors that worked on her. Fact is, their interest – even if it comes off as cold – is a damn good thing. They’re trained professionals, men and women who have helped decrease the infant mortality rate to unheard of depths, and she was lucky to have them all there. But, as my sister in law said, it is a rather dehumanizing situation. Even if it was all for the best.

Anyway, they had trouble even identifying the fibroids pregnancy in the first place, and it was only a very astute and experienced x-ray technician who first caught it. Because the thing is, fibroids don’t actually show up on x-rays or ultrasounds. So what the technician saw was an empty space where there wasn’t necessarily supposed to be an empty space. It’s not the kind of thing you’d notice unless you had years of experience working on pregnant women, and – again – it was lucky for brother’s family that this technician just so happened to fit the mold.

Healthy Babies

August 19, 2010 By Pilar Estefana

As a new parent, you either feel very confident that you know what you are doing, or you may feel as if you are going to do something to mess up your baby forever. You shouldn’t worry too much, as raising healthy babies is not as hard as you may think it is. The trick is knowing when you need help or advice. You have family and friends to help you and you can always talk to a doctor when you need help. The problem can be getting bad advice. If something does not sound right to you, question it and find out more before you make a mistake.

It can be hard to tell your mother in law that something she did with her children is no longer done because it has been proven to be bad for a baby. Some put sugary syrups in bottles, but research has determined that this is not the best thing to do when raising healthy babies. Some of the older generations may have given baby a bottle of water when they were very young to stretch out times between feedings, but that is not a good idea. In fact, with a newborn, that can be downright dangerous. If baby is hungry, they need calories. Water artificially fills them when they need food, and can throw off their system. Ask your doctor before you give water or add anything to a bottle.

Some people say that the best way to get a baby to sleep through the night would be to let them cry it out. Healthy babies need sleep, as this is when they are growing and developing. However, the man who wrote about getting babies to sleep by allowing them to cry did not recommend what most think of as the Ferber method. You do not leave baby crying until they fall asleep. If you want to try this method, make sure you read the literature rather than just doing what you heard it was all about. Babies need to know you will come when they cry. This builds trust and security.

Healthy babies need love and attention from their parents. Some will not hold their baby when he or she cries or they will try to otherwise train them. Someone told them they are going to spoil the baby or that the baby is manipulating them into getting what they want. The truth is that babies can not manipulate you and you can not spoil a baby. They cry when they need food, a fresh diaper, sleep, or comfort and love. Those are the basic necessities of life. The more you respond to them, the better they are going to be in the long run. Love is a huge part of raising healthy babies.

Healthy babies also need good medical attention. Immunizations are a topic of debate, but remember that medical research has concluded that immunizations do not cause autism. If you are concerned about your babies’ shots or what might be in those shots, talk to your doctor about your concerns. The choice is ultimately up to you, of course, but don’t dismiss these just because of something you read on the Internet. Get the facts and then make the choice you feel will lead to healthy babies in your family.
