Shoulder Buddies – A Friend For Life

I’m not sure I would have necessarily chosen any of the Shoulder Buddies to range for my daughter as a gift, however, she was adamant that it’s exactly the kind of toy that she wanted. I didn’t give in immediately since I wanted to check them out first, but quite honestly after about 10 minutes of reading up on them, I was convinced that they’d make an awesome gift. All you need to do for the Shoulder Buddies to work is to the slip the included Shoulder Buddies Coin under your clothing or back etc. and the Shoulder Buddies will stick to you like glue thanks to the magnetic base. I know walking around with a cute little alien looking toy on your shoulder might seem a bit strange to us adults, but to kids, it can create endless fun. There’s a huge range to collect, all with different faces, hair, and designs, meaning I’m sure I’ll be getting my wallet out soon enough to grab some more. At such a low price, I wouldn’t really flinch at the thought, to be honest – just the other day I saw a girl with 4 or 5 stuck to her rucksack and decided I would happily let my daughter walk around with this many clinging on to her for dear life, as long as she doesn’t try and stick them to me!

Things we did not like about Shoulder Buddies

What’s not to like more like? The Shoulder Buddies are a simple yet fun range of toys and are bound to put a smile on any girl’s face. I will say that it’s a shame that the creators haven’t marketed the Shoulder Buddies to boys though. My son did show some signs of being intrigued in them but luckily he got bored and went back to playing with his toy Nerf gun.

I’ve always found, especially in comparison to LEGO, that the Playmobil products seem to be slightly old-fashioned in design and style which sometimes leads me to purchase LEGO over Playmobil. WWE Rumblers Wrestling Action Figures – Looks Authentic

So I picked up a pack of WWE Rumblers Wrestling Action Figures for my son just recently and the first thing he commented on was how they looked exactly like the real wrestlers in the WWE. I’m pretty sure he’s got The Rock and John Cena (my wife would actually know more than me no doubt!) and he definitely couldn’t be happier.

The mistake I’ve made is now that he’s got one pack of 2 WWE Rumblers Wrestling Action Figures, he now wants the whole collection – what have I let myself in for? I’m not bothered really since they’re great value for money and the whole set can interact together. I didn’t even realize that the figures have a grip and moving limbs for an awesomely interactive session of fun – I’ve been playing with my son recently and I must say that the WWE Rumblers Wrestling Action Figures are awesome!

Things we did not like about WWE Rumblers Wrestling Action Figures

I prefer to include all negative aspects in any review I do, to ensure you’re supplied with all relevant information as needed. In this instance, I really struggled to find anything bad to say about these cool toys, apart from just the one thing:

Bigger Packs Please

I would have preferred to have maybe 3 figurines in each pack rather than 2, but who am I kidding? It’s not like the WWE Rumblers Wrestling Action Figures are for me – my son is super happy with them and that’s all that counts.

Word On The Street Boardgame is A Great Family Game

Boardgames that test your brain’s ability seem to be making a comeback (after the classic Trivial Pursuit first launched and stormed the boardgame market) and the Word On The Street Boardgame is creating many ripples of rumors worldwide.

Among my family and friends, we’ve always settled down to a boardgame after lunch or dinner to pass the time and have a laugh and just have a great time with them. When I and my wife picked up Word On The Street Boardgame we were very excited at the different angles the game takes. It creates some excellent family competition and huge levels of banter as the opposition attempt to put you off and mock your answers.

Essentially, it’s a category game whereby teams take it in turns to pull a card from the deck, they then have to answer the question in 30 seconds, whilst pulling as many letters from the board as possible. For example, if the card reads, “Something Worn Buy A Vicar”, answering “Mississippi” will not count, despite movings clear off the board and p two slots closer, as well as m once – note in the adult version there are no vowels. It’s a fun-packed game lasting approximately 30 minutes per round with the aim to move all the letters down the street and closer to you.

Xia Xia Hermit Crab Pets – Extremely Cute

I went ahead and ordered my daughter one of the Xia Xia Hermit Crab Pets after chatting to a fellow parent who was raving about her little pink Xia Xia Hermit Crab. You know what kids are like – once one of their friends has a toy that they like, they simply must have it for themselves. I was more than happy to oblige, especially when I noticed how much fun my daughter’s friend was having and how incredibly cute they looked.

They’re a very simple toy and the onus is on the child to interact and play with the Xia Xia Hermit Crab Pets as they so wish – most girls seem to play along in a nautical scenario as opposed to anything else. There’s an added bonus to the Xia Xia Hermit Crab Pets, and that is that you can purchase the shells separately to customize the Xia Xia Hermit Crab and make them a little bit more unique – plus, I do believe there’s a little surprise in each shell.

Things we did not like about Xia Xia Hermit Crab Pets

There isn’t much to dislike about the Xia Xia Hermit Crab Pets, to be honest, and the point I make below is my own view, definitely not my daughter’s

Limited Function

I did find that there seems to be only so much playing you can do with the Xia Xia Hermit Crab Pets since there isn’t a massive amount of features on them. Having said this, my daughter seems more than happy with her Xia Xia and so I guess I’ve got nothing to complain about!
