My baby kinda came by suprise and its a couple days after she was born and we cant put the nursery together because WE HAVE NO FURNITURE!!! Not even a blanket for the baby. Just a couple of baby clothes.. but she keeps crying because shes cold!! My husband just went to the store to buy a blanket but it will take him 15, 20 or maybe even 30 minutes. Any idea of how to keep her warm??? And i didn’t want to use a big blanket because i thought she might suffocate.
I men’t we have no BABY furniture. like on rocker, crib, and changing table.
yes the baby came half a month early. I think any mother would know if they were pregnant. Unless you had the baby before you even got big. But that doesn’t matter anymore because 1st of all my husbands home and 2nd of all were going to my mom and dads house. TY FOR ALL THE HELP PPL!!!!!

Lay her on your skin and use your big blanket to cover the both of you up. It’s been a couple days since the baby was born and you have nothing for her ? You better get crackin, sounds like you were not prepared, or didn’t care to be prepared. By the baby coming by surprise, do you mean the baby came early, or you had no idea you were pregnant ? I hope you meant the baby came early, but you should have still had some stuff ready for her. Hope everything works out.

you dont have a heater? if theres a shower nearby.. take a hot shower and let the hot steam filll the room. it should keep the baby warm, for atleast a half hour or before the air escapes. but seriously, poor baby. get to it, your a mom now! you need to take responsibility!

Turn up the heat in your house. How is it possible you have internet access and no blankets or heat?
Another choice would be to lay the baby against your skin on your stomach and cover by using a sweater or shirt like a blanket.

Keeping her close to your body.. Dont you have a sweatshirt or something?.. I would hold her, with a jacket/coat on top of her with you. Doesn’t sound like she should be out of your site…

you should use the bigger blanket. if nothing else wrap her up in a clean dry towel and be sure to keep her clothes dry and make sure she has something on her head feet and hands. these r the places she loses more heat from. take care and good luck with your new baby.

Lay her on top of you against your skin when you are sitting in a chair and cover you both up with a blanket. Then borrow baby clothes from a friend!

Use the big blanket!
Jason says
Rub her like what people do to get their hands warn or give her a hot bottle to make her feel warm inside.
Dav says
She should not suffocate if you do not cover her mouth or nose, and you do not wrap her too tightly. Do you own a coat? Put the coat on and be logical.

No furniture, you were not ready to give birth

if you do not have a heater turn on your stove to heat up the house.just be very careful do not leave anything around to catch fire
Rosey55 D says
Do you have a sweatshirt or a tee shirt of your own that you can rap her up in until you can get a blanket? Try cuddleing with your baby, because your body heat will also help her stay warm.
