How to Wash Your Baby’s Hair

Wash your baby’s hair by making sure the water is warm, wetting the top of the head, gently scrubbing baby shampoo into the scalp and then rinsing the baby’s head thoroughly. Dry off wet baby hair to prevent illness with tips from the mother of three young children in this free video on parenting. What do you put or use in your baby’s hair?

I have a 9 month old son and after I wash his hair I put baby oil in it and then comb it and brush it. How often do you wash your baby’s hair? What types of things do you put in it? Thanks

  •  wash my 8 month old daughter’s hair about once a week and i use Hair Balm (a product by Carol’s Daughter). I usually give her like 6 random ponytails all over her head. i think it’s cute
  • I wash her hair once a week. I was her hair with Johnson and Johnson moisturizing shampoo. When doing her hair, I put in pink moisturizer. Doing the week I put braids in her hair because I don’t want her or any of the kids choking on her hair bows. On the weekend I put ponytails in her hair. I was using baby oil when she was younger, but now it’s doing nothing for her hair. Tinkerbell, I’m going to have to find the product you use. Is it making her hair grow? Where can I f

      I’m afraid of temperature fluctuations, so I don’t put the baby under running water. I use a cup and scoop water from a large bowl for rinsing.

      never never put baby under running water. Im sorry but thats poor advice. Ive seen too many children get burned by accident this way. use a little basin or tuperware with water that has already been tested to make sure its the correct temp.
