Personalized Kids Books
When I was seven years old, my parents gave me a birthday present I’ll never forget. It was one of those personalized kids’ books with my name printed on every page, making me a part of Snow White’s adventures with the Seven Dwarfs. As a child who had just started reading on my own, that gift helped cultivate my interest in stories and turned me into an avid lifelong reader. I want to instill that same kind of wonder and love in my own son, which is why I’m going to buy a custom book for him very soon.
As I was shopping for personalized kids books, I was amazed by how far they’d come since my youth. For one thing, the selection of stories available today is simply stunning. There are a bunch that would typically appeal to boys, such as those featuring sports plots or superheroes, and just as many that would be attractive to girls, such as those with princesses and cute animals. Plus, printers of personalized kids books have obtained licenses to use famous cartoon characters in the stories, which means that your child’s name can now appear right alongside Batman, Superman, Scooby-Doo, the Little Mermaid, and more. What child wouldn’t love a book like this?
Ordering personalized kids books is just as easy as can be. All you have to do is find a company that offers these products (there are many on the Internet), and browse through their website until you locate a story that you think your child would enjoy. Then you simply fill in your child’s full name, age, hometown, and a few friends’ names, and submit your order form, along with payment. Personalized kid’s books take just a short time to produce, so you should have your copy within a week or two of ordering.
While this process is pretty straightforward, there are a couple of things to bear in mind as you shop around for something you like. First, make sure you find out what kind of binding will be used in the book. Some printers offer paperbacks, while others offer hardcover copies. Children can be pretty tough on their possessions, so I recommend going with hardcover personalized kids’ books whenever possible. Second, try to discover how many times your child’s name will appear in the story. Some printers guarantee the name will appear on every page, while others just specify a certain number of times throughout the whole thing. Since most children want to see their name as often as possible, go for the products that offer this option.
Reading is a skill that your child obviously needs for the rest of his or her life. Getting them to appreciate a good book is one of the most important lessons you can bestow in these formative years, and personalized kids books can help with the process. Order yours now, and put your child on the path to higher learning!
Children story
I have always specialized in coming up with stories for kids. After all, I have had to raise not just my own, but those of my sisters well. She had children young, and we sort of divided up the task of taking care of them. I would have to come up with a children’s story almost every night. After all, it was my responsibility to put them to bed.
I loved telling those children stories. Sometimes, I would read to them from their favorite books. They all had several books that they loved very much, books that my sister had received from some nonprofit group meant to help out needy children. My favorite thing, however, was to tell them a children story that I had made up by myself.
Every child’s story that I told made my love of language grow further. Telling children’s stories, I was able to understand the deep well of myth within myself. There’s an almost unlimited spring of imagination within all of us, just waiting to get out. It is easy to miss when you are an adult, but it is there in your dreams and fantasies. The trick is to get it out there.
Once I realized that I had a knack for the children’s story, I decided to write some of my own professionally. It took me a while to realize that not everyone could make up children’s stories on the spot. I had a special gift, and I was determined to put it into practice. Nonetheless, it was a tougher field than I had imagined. Publishing a book is always hard, but it is particularly hard with a children’s story. After all, most people assume that kid’s books are easy to write.
What people do not realize is that writing a good children’s story is every bit as hard as writing a good novel for adults. There is a lot of competition in the field, but there are actually very few good stories for children. The real problem is that it is hard to get off the slush pile. Getting discovered by an editor is really the most difficult part of the entire process. Actually writing the children’s book is comparatively easy if you know how to tell a story. Don’t give up. If you love the children’s story, you need to keep with it. After all, the right story can make a big difference in the life of a young child.
