Preserve Precious Memories By Creating a Footprint Baby Photo Frame

December 1, 2019 By Pilar Estefana

There’s no arguing that a baby photo frame makes a nice gift, but who says you can’t make one for yourself? If you’ve ever had a baby shower, then you’ve no doubt received a baby photo frame or two as a gift.

TIP! Try different digital techniques to come up with wonderful photographs that look like watercolors, oil paintings, and graphic pencil sketches. While there are a variety of software products available for purchase, Adobe Photoshop is listed as one of the best.

Even if you do get more than one during a baby shower, you know that there will be many pictures taken of your baby that you’ll have to supply your own frame for. You know your child is special, so why not create a baby photo frame which has your child’s footprint captured for eternity? It’s a lot easier than you might think.

When you sit and hold your baby, you might do the same things that other parents do, such as play with the child’s fingers and rub those tiny little feet. Nothing comes close to being as sweet as a child, especially the newborns.

TIP! Try different settings on the camera such as shutter speed or what works the best for you. With developed skills, you can stop the action, extend it in a creative montage, or bring special feature into focus.

This time is so special, you’d love for it to last forever, but you know that isn’t possible. There are ways that you can preserve a moment in time so that you’ll be able to look back from the years which lay ahead and feel that special feeling once again.

Making a permanent imprint of your baby’s foot can be accomplished in more ways than one. You can decide which one best suits your needs. Since you’re going to be making an impression of your baby’s foot, you want to use a method that poses no potential for harming your child.

TIP! Keep the process you use for taking pictures as simple as you can. When photographing a specific event, set your camera’s features on the appropriate settings ahead of time.

Do not, under any circumstances, use regular run of the mill plaster to make an impression of your child’s hands or feet. Plaster heats up while sitting, and will easily burn tender skin, so please don’t do anything which may harm your baby.

To safely make a baby footprint photo frame, you can use an ink kit that has special inks that won’t harm the fragile skin of your baby. These inks work well in capturing detail and clean up reasonably well.

TIP! Many people believe sunny days to be ideal for shooting photos, but the truth is that shooting pictures in bright sunshine is the best way to ruin every shot taken. Sunlight can cast bad shadows, weird highlights and give your subject squinting eyes.

Using this type of kit, you can make a finely detailed footprint in ink and incorporate it into your baby photo frame. One way to do this is by using a frame large enough for both the child’s photo and the ink stamp of your child’s foot.

This kit comes with a special type of molding material that doesn’t heat up, and it sets quickly. The footprint is then ready to display beside your favorite baby photo! Some pre-made baby photo frames have generic footprints of babies’ feet embedded in them, too, but it’s more special if it comes directly from your baby’s own foot.

Make Extra Money By Having Your Own Plaster Baby Photo Frame Business

December 1, 2019 By Pilar Estefana

One thing you will never hear anyone complain about is having too much money. You will, however, hear people stating they would like to make some extra money on the side in order to have some of the things they can’t currently afford.

Starting your own home business is hands down the best way to make extra money, or even to replace the job you currently have. You could earn that extra money you require by starting your own plaster baby photo frame business. This can be an easy business for you to start, and it can put you in profit quickly.

TIP! Take pictures of little things when traveling. If you don’t photograph the fine details, you may not remember them later.

Making the fames yourself is one the most profitable way to go if you have any handicraft talent at all. The frames can be made from any material you’re familiar with and are comfortable working in.

If you’re good with a sculpting clay, creating a clay pattern to create rubber molds would be the most economical way to create a lot of frames. You then pour regular plaster into the molds and allow them to almost harden, and then remove them to dry completely.

If you aren’t good with clay, you can place an ad in the local paper requesting local sculptors to get in touch with you. You’ll be able to tell them what you want, and they can deliver it to you.

TIP! Photograph human subjects. Make sure to always get their permission, though.

All you’ll need to do to create a rubber mold is to apply liquid rubber over the sculpture, and then let it cure. After it’s cured, remove the mold carefully and you have a mold that will last for up to one hundred plaster pours.

Your local hardware store has all the supplies you need to create the plaster baby photo frames, except for the clay and the mold rubber. Your local crafts store can set you up with the clay and the liquid mold compound.

You can get all the supplies you need to create the plaster baby photo frames for under $40, which includes plaster, clay and the accessories needed to make the pour. Once you’ve made your master mold, you’ll need to make sure it’s level so that the plaster won’t run out of it.

TIP! Purchase a memory card large enough to store the many photographs you will take on your way to becoming a better photographer. A big memory card will allow you to hold a lot more pictures.

You can accomplish this easily by using a large pan filled with clean kitty litter. The mold will be placed face down into the kitty litter, where you can push it further down into the litter if you have high spots, or scoop some of the litter under the low areas.

Some people use sand for this purpose, but unless you’ve made a really huge rubber mold, kitty litter will work fine. If you get into creating larger pieces, you may need to make a sand table to fully support the weight of the piece.

Once you have the mold in level in the litter, you can mix the plaster as per the instructions on the package. You’ll want to make sure it’s thin enough to pour, but not so thin it won’t dry quickly.

TIP! You need not stand directly in front of an object to photograph it. When shooting your subject, try angles from the left, right, above and even below if possible.

You’ll notice the plaster gets very warm. This is the reaction taking place which causes the plaster to dry quickly. Don’t leave plaster in a mold or container until it completely dries, or you’ll be lucky to get it out. Also, don’t pour plaster down the drain. It will clog your drain up completely.

Once the plaster is no longer sticky, carefully remove the pieces to allow them to air dry. This will take about 24 hours in most cases. Now your frames are ready to be primed and painted.

You’re going to want to use a white base coat as a primer before painting, so you’ll get a better surface for the topcoat. Always use non-toxic paint and keep all of your supplies away from pets and children.

Paint your baby photo frames with acrylic craft paint, and follow with a spray clear coat. You’ll be amazed at how beautiful these frames are, and how easy they are to make. Best of all, you’ll find that once you get your supplies and get started, each frame will only cost you a few pennies to produce!

How to Create a Stunning Scrapbook Baby Photo Frame You’ll Be Proud to Show Off

December 1, 2019 By Pilar Estefana

Scrapbooking is a hobby in which millions of individuals love to participate. The creative aspects of this hobby make it rather unique, in that, almost anything goes in scrapbooking. There are no hard rules on what types of materials can be used, other than they must be acid-free in order for it not to cause damage to photos used within the scrapbook.

When purchasing scrapbook materials, you’ll notice that they’re labeled as being acid-free. When you’re searching for materials to put into your scrapbook, you must make sure they contain no acid or over time it will cause damage to the photos that you’re trying to showcase.

TIP! Don’t dawdle when taking photographs. If you wait too long, you risk losing your shot due to changing scenery.

There are a variety of ways that you can make a stunning baby photo frame within the pages of your scrapbook. Here are some favorite ways to make scrapbooks look totally unique:

Polymer clay is a very popular medium for sculptors, but it can also be a scrapbooker’s best friend. One way to make very interesting frames inside scrapbooks is to use polymer clay canes, which are already pre-rolled.

These canes can be sliced very thin, which is a plus when making a scrapbook. By choosing the canes, which both complement your page and also show good contrast, you’ll be able to make a beautiful frame that’s very thin and also very resilient.

TIP! When you are going through your photographs and picking the ones that you want to show to others, be sure to pick the cream of the crop. Do not display all of your pictures or too many on one topic.

Begin your frame by choosing a cane and start slicing the cane as you would a loaf of bread. Make each slice of the cane as close to the same size as you possibly can. Now it’s time to arrange the circles you’ve just cut off of the cane into the size and shape you wish your baby photo frame to be.

If you find you need to cut more slices off of the cane, you can use one of the previously sliced circles as a guide to make them the same size. Now bake your frame as per the package instructions for the polymer clay. Your baby photo frame can be used as soon as it’s cooled. Simply attach it using double-sided tape.

Another technique many people love to use in scrapbooks is colored transparency sheets with rubber ink stamps that are used to create beautiful one-of-a-kind baby photo frames. Your local office supply store should be able to give you a variety of colored transparency sheets to choose from.

TIP! Don’t miss the perfect shot because you don’t have any charged batteries. You can go through batteries quickly, especially if you have an LCD screen, so be sure that you have fresh batteries in it before you head out for a day of photography.

You may use any color ink which suits your color scheme. You can use both metallic inks and the traditional black ink in your transparency frames. The process is really simple.

You just decide which color transparency sheet you would like to use, then cut it to size. At this point, you can do one of two things. You can either cut out the center of the transparency for your photo, or you can go ahead and ink the transparency before you trim it. There really is no right or wrong here, just do what works for you.

These two techniques can really add both dimension and color to your scrapbooking projects. You’ll be able to make beautiful baby photo frames using these techniques and your imagination is truly the only limit to what you can accomplish.

A Personalized Baby Photo Frame Makes the Perfect Baby Shower Gift

December 1, 2019 By Pilar Estefana

If you’re looking for the perfect baby shower gift, then you should look no further than a personalized baby photo frame. Photo frames make excellent gifts for many occasions and are always welcomed by the recipient.

TIP! Snap your shots as quickly as possible! If you hesitate too long, the moment will pass and you will have missed the opportunity to get that perfect shot. The quicker you and your camera are, the better shots you will get.

A personalized frame can vary in its personalization, from having the child’s name to having the birth weight and time of birth displayed prominently. Of course, most frames will display the name of the child, or at least the first name.

If you know the baby’s room theme, you can also choose to incorporate it into the frame, so that the frame will blend in perfectly with the room décor. Baby themes are very popular, so the prospective parents have already chosen the baby’s theme, and could even have the room ready by the time the baby shower is held. To find out, you don’t have to be coy – just ask the parents if they have a theme for the baby’s room.

TIP! To get a high-quality image, you will need a good camera. There is no substitute for a DSLR camera when it comes to taking professional-grade pictures.

Personalized baby photo frames can be found in many different types of materials, including wood or ceramics, but the most popular is silver. It often takes a few weeks to have the personalization details engraved into the baby photo frame, so be sure to order well in advance.

If your parents-to-be don’t know the sex or name of the baby, then you can give them a baby photo frame that’s blank and allows for room to have it engraved at a later date. Or, you can have a loving inscription engraved into the material instead of the personal details of the baby’s birth.

TIP! Direct sunlight is actually a guaranteed way to ruin pictures that would otherwise be beautiful. The sunlight often creates shadows and glare; also, the bright light causes many people to immediately squint as they are photographed.

You may even be able to go the extra mile. If the mom to be had a picture of the baby taken during a sonogram, see if you can get your hands on a copy of it. Then have it positioned in the frame before you wrap it for the shower.

You might also want to present the soon-to-be parents with a baby personalized photo frame that’s of an image of the mom and dad or her hand on her growing belly. These images would be treasured keepsakes for parents.

Some personalized photo frames for babies have room enough for many years to come – from the sonogram image all the way through senior year. You can get it started and then let the parents fill in the photos for the coming years. Personalized baby photo frames are great shower gifts – and the parents can’t get too many of them because they’ll be avid shutterbugs for many months and years to come.

A Baby Photo Frame Is Not Just a Shower Gift Tips

December 1, 2019 By Pilar Estefana

There are many milestones in our lives that get celebrated. Usually, an event worth celebration brings with it an opportunity to give gifts to the person having a special day. When it comes to giving gifts, it can sometimes be a difficult choice, depending on the occasion.

TIP! Different shutter speeds work well in different settings so make sure you have a play around with your camera and determine what works for you. Photography lets you capture a single moment or show motion over time by adjusting the shutter speed.

One gift, which is always welcomed, is a photo frame. Think about how many pictures you already have in your home. Do you have photos waiting for frames? If you’re like most people, you probably have more than a few photos stuck in the limbo that is waiting on frames.

Baby showers aren’t the only time that a baby photo frame makes a great gift. There are actually several occasions when it would not only be appropriate, but it would be a very thoughtful and appreciated gift.

TIP! Choose only the best photos to showcase or display. Avoid repetition by only choosing a small, varied selection of your best work.

Birthdays are always special, but there are some which we put extra meaning to, and these birthdays would be a great time to give a framed baby photo of the person having a birthday.

Give a baby photo framed with a birthday boy (or girl) who’s celebrating a milestone birthday. You can give a sweet sixteen celebrant a photo frame that includes images of the first 15 years, or find a humorous photo to the frame of a now “over the hill” birthday boy or girl.

TIP! Often a photographer will be so concerned with a landscape background that he neglects the details in the foreground. However, this is the first place the viewer’s eye will land.

Nothing says your children are growing up on you more than graduation. It’s that time when they’re expected to go out into the world without you and enter college. If you’re lucky, you live within driving distance to the college of choice, but how often does that really happen?

On graduation day, there’s one way to let them know you’re still there to look out for them, even if they are becoming an adult. A graduation themed baby photo frame will let your graduate know they’re still a kid in your heart, and give them a piece of home to take with them.

TIP! Do not allow your camera batteries to run low because you never know when a photo opportunity will occur. Digital cameras consume a lot of battery life, particularly when you use the LCD screen; therefore, be sure that your batteries are charged fully before you need to use your camera.

A wedding is yet another perfect time to give a baby photo frame. It will let the bride to know that although she’s marrying another man, she will always be daddy’s little girl. A bridal themed photo frame is a popular gift for weddings, but you seldom see a baby photo frame complete with the bride (and groom) as a child given as a gift. You can give a gift that’s both unique, and expresses your love for your daughter.

A baby photo frame is more than just a baby shower gift. It can represent different feelings, depending on the occasion for which it’s given. It’s a universal gift, since everyone was at one time, a baby.

TIP! When photographing your subject, try to get as close as you can. Photos taken from far away don’t tend to be all that interesting because details or colors are too small to see.

With a little imagination, you can probably think of other situations where it would be an appropriate gift. With the availability of a wide assortment of themes, you can practically match a frame with almost any occasion imaginable.

If you have a theme in mind and you can’t locate a frame that you like locally, you might want to go online and find an even larger assortment of frames. Some shops will even custom create a frame for you, and it’s more affordable than you might think.
