A woman in northern France has been detained by police after confessing to killing her eight newborn children. Dominique Cottrez, a nurse, admitted to suffocating the babies before burying them in her house’s garden and garage, saying she did it because she didn’t want to have anymore children. The bodies of the babies have been found wrapped in plastic bags in the village of Villers-au-Tertre near the city of Lille. Al Jazeera’s Tania Page reports on a case that has shocked the country.
