Word On The Street Boardgame is A Great Family Game
Boardgames that test your brain’s ability seem to be making a comeback (after the classic Trivial Pursuit first launched and stormed the boardgame market) and the Word On The Street Boardgame is creating many ripples of rumors worldwide.
Among my family and friends, we’ve always settled down to a boardgame after lunch or dinner to pass the time and have a laugh and just have a great time with them. When I and my wife picked up Word On The Street Boardgame we were very excited at the different angles the game takes. It creates some excellent family competition and huge levels of banter as the opposition attempt to put you off and mock your answers.
Essentially, it’s a category game whereby teams take it in turns to pull a card from the deck, they then have to answer the question in 30 seconds, whilst pulling as many letters from the board as possible. For example, if the card reads, “Something Worn Buy A Vicar”, answering “Mississippi” will not count, despite movings clear off the board and p two slots closer, as well as m once – note in the adult version there are no vowels. It’s a fun-packed game lasting approximately 30 minutes per round with the aim to move all the letters down the street and closer to you.

Can Feel Like An English Lesson
Most people know how to spell pretty well but if you find that you struggle with spelling and word association, then this is likely to not be a game for you at all. That’s not to say it’s difficult, though, but you may be put off.
