Transformers have been around for decades, and have been featured in comic books, on cartoon series, graphic novels, and most recently the Transformers trilogy by Michael Bay.
Subsequently, all of these Transformers media has spawned a hefty Transformers toy line. Hasbor is the most well known for producing a wide array of Transformers toys, letting kids do battle between Autobots and Decepticons.
Kids have enjoyed hours of play time over the year, Transforming these ingenious machines back and forth between robot and vehicle, and the options just keep coming.
One of the latest and biggest releases from Hasbro (emphasis on biggest) is the new Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex. Metroplex is the biggest and mightiest Autobot, standing at over 2 feet tall.

Metroplex’s massive size, 3 way transformation capabilities, glowing eyes, crushing jaw, and firepower will provide lots of entertaining adventures. Kids will enjoy transforming him from his robot form, into his vehicle form, and into his massive fortified city formation.
The Specifications
This Transformer toy is not recommended for children under the age of 3, due to choking hazard from small parts. Metroplex stands over 2 feet tall, and has 3 different transformation forms. The toy can be transformed from robot form, to vehicle form, to city form.
Metroplex’s eyes and mouth both light up, and the toy produces lights and sounds, as well as a projectile firing missile launcher. The set also includes a small Scamper Autobot figure.
2 A76 batteries are included and necessary for operation.
The Price
At $128.00, this is a pricey Transformer, but it definitely has to be one of the coolest Hasbro Transformers toys available on the market. Few other Transformer toys even come close to the size of Metroplex.
The electronic capabilities such as lights and sounds also add to the action and value of this toy. Transformers are also, and have been very collectible for almost 3 decades now, and the newer models are no exception, which adds tremendously to the value.
The Verdict
The Metroplex Autobot is an excellent addition to any child’s Transformers set, and is even fun on its own. At $128.00, he is definitely a big ticket item, but well worth the price between the quality of his make, and the hours of fun your child will have with him.
The fact that Transformers are highly collectable also adds another reason to purchase this toy. My recommendation, buy it!
