Well you should get informed to know if you are getting a shower because if you are you will get the small stuff then. I am having a surprise baby so I am buying outfits in brown, yellow, orange unisex colors. You should think of having a unisex baby room because if you have another after this one. You can get pacifiers, baby blankets, lotions, soaps, outfits if you are getting them gently used you can start looking now. I am 26 weeks and me and my hubby decided that we are getting the big stuff first, but I have gotten some stuff here and there. I tend to get 1 thing every time I go to the store to reduce the cost

You should buy diapers and wipes. Just buy one or two packages of newborn size, and some size ones. You also really should buy some bottles, because even if you are planning on breastfeeding, you might want the babys dad (or other people) to be able to join in that experience and you could pump into a bottle.
Also, buy a breast pump. Probably an electric one, as manual can be tricky. You could get some undershirts (onesies) and socks.
Congrats :0)

These things are always useful:
-Bouncy seat
-Floppy seat for the cart when the baby gets older
-Bibs
-Blankets
-Baby towels
-Baby wash and shampoo
-Diaper cream
-Size two diapers and up
-Pacifiers (if you have a brand preference you can "enforce it" with a young baby, although not always)
-Breast pads, lanolin creme
-Sippy cups
-Bedding (neutral like sheets)
-Stuffed animals
-Picture frames
And lots more, I am sure!

you could go ahead and start looking at big things like a crib. the pretty much come in black, white, and different woods. pretty neutral. you coul dalso buy a few neutral outfits, like in yellow and green…and diapers you could probably go ahead and buy one box of newborn. not any more than that, but one box wouldnt hurt

I don’t mean to down your spirits, but I would definitely buy some bottles. I planned on breastfeeding for a while as well and did not buy any. Needless to say I discovered that my son liked to chew on my nipples and then shortly after did not want to take the breast anymore. I would also go ahead and buy diapers. You are going to need A LOT of them. Any medicines that might be needed such as Tylenol and Gas Drops. I know that these are not the fun things to buy but you will regret not getting them later.

If you are worried about the size, skip new born and buy size 1 diapers. My daughter was almost nine pounds and the new born ones looked like a skimpy loin clothe, but size one fit just fine. Even if you have a small baby, in a few weeks, the size 1 will come in handy.
A mattress pad (or two, or three) will always be of use, as will extra crib or bassinet sheets.
Plain colored onsies can go under any outfit, white socks, burp clothes, wipes, baby care items such as safety nail clippers, thermometer, nail file, etc
There is a lot you can buy before you know the gender

You could get some unisex stuff like toys etc.. or maybe a crib and pushchair, though I would buy the pushchair last. But mobiles to go on the crib, teddy bears, anything to decorate the room. Stuff to remember the baby’s firsts that are unisex. It’s quite hard before you know the sex, but once you start thinking, there is quite a lot you can get. Maybe a few dummies (pacifiers a bath chair, wipes, powder, creams, anything you think you’re going to need and may run out of in the first few weeks, but will last. It’s good to look for bargains like by one get one free etc.. now, I did this when I was trying for a baby.
I hope all goes well for you!

Clothes.
Furniture.
Diapers.
Toys.
I didn’t find out the sex until after baby was born. I assure you that I didn’t wait to buy baby things until that point.
(Buy things slightly larger than newborn size. Baby will need them eventually.)

I would start to buy diapers i know that you said you dont know what size your baby would be but they will go through newborn at least so i would buy a couple boxes of each. I box a week that will save you a lot when your little one comes.
