i will be 8months Monday the 14th next weeks just brought a stroller w/car seat, creepers, receiving blankets, socks, sleepers, wash clothes, long sleeve body suits, bibs, mittens and hats.Just a little of each you know to start off with, until today i had nothing for my son. My family suggested i wait and are now upset that i brought things before my 8th month. I still haven’t had a baby shower waiting on them to do it. My aunt wants to be in control of my baby shower and i know nothing she wants it to be a surprise. I feel like he is my son why should i wait to get things for him waited long enough time to go crazy!!! She haven’t asked me to do a registry or anything so i would be in the dark completely about the things i get at my shower. Then they have a problem with the fact i want my son to have his father’s last name i will name him what i want he is my son!
oh…um my due date is nov 9th yay!
sorry if there are any typos got angry im lol now that i am reading it…going to buy more things next week too *evil laugh* let them be angry

Uhhg, My babys daddy’s mother was completely controlling over my pregnancy.
I wanted to name my baby girl jayla, She hated it so she threatened to take her from the hospital when she was born.
Well i named her jayla, And this b*tch is still putting me through hell.
But thats your baby, And you do what YOU want.
I started buying at 16weeks, Just small things. Brought the pram/cot/car seat at 30+ weeks.
Goodluck,

as soon as i found out brody was a boy.
they are crazy..what happens if you go into labor earlier than expected and you dont have ANYTHING yet? i think its pretty darn normal to have pretty much everything in your 8th month.

That’s right.. It’s "YOUR" son, not theirs. So don’t worry about what they think.

I started buying gender neutral things at around 8 weeks, shortly after my first ultrasound. I was just so freaking excited =D.
And don’t worry, you’re not doing anything wrong by buying things for your son… He’s yours after all. Your family has no reason to be upset and should really get a move on with the baby shower, or you’re going to have to buy everything. I’d talk to them and let them know that 8 months is pretty far along, and if you’re going to have a shower it should be soon, so you can buy anything else you need before he is born.

I had everything I needed, literally everything by 30 weeks.. Had my shower at 29. Everything is put together and setup. My advice, you should be ready and prepared, less stress and easier before your back starts hurting and all that.. They need to get your shower on the ball so you can get it all together.

I been buying a few stuff every month since I been 6 months. You can register and then just tell your aunt where you registered at so she can put it in the invitation.

I bought stuff before I was even pregnant! I told my husband I was pregnant by leaving a onesie of his favorite football team on his office desk. Buying stuff is the fun part! Once you have baby, it may be harder to even get out to go shopping. You’ll be tired, it gets to be a hassle to drag along all the baby gear when you go out, etc. Buy whatever you want!

As soon as I found out the sex, I started picking up things here and there. I think you should make a registry anyway. Let her know you did and where so she can let others know before your shower. My aunt is a total B*%*$ and a control freak. I just made my stepmom tell her to back off because she doesnt want to deal w/ my hormones. I also mentioned if she looked at me crossways I was likely to give her what was coming to her! I guess there is one in every family…Dont let anyone make you feel bad about your decisions, if you start now they will control you forever.

As soon as I found out I was having a boy…with my first pregnancy….now I am due in 2 weeks and as soon as I found out this was a girl I started buying things….you really should have a baby shower soon….talk to your aunt…tell her you think you guys should go ahead and have it so you can be prepared for the baby and that way you can save money…..and only have to buy the things you don’t get at your shower…Honestly….I registered at Target and Babies R us….and no one really looked at my registry and I still got everything I needed except 2 or 3 things….girl….have a shower you can always take things back and exchange them!!!!! Tell your aunt…It’s time!!! Good luck!
