I was thinking recently after hearing a radio host explain this theory also. Why do women who push strollers always clip the achillies heels of the people in front of them? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had my ankles taken out of baby strollers. Do women feel powerful when controlling them? Or are they just very clumsy when operating them?

I can’t say I’ve never done this, but I can tell you why I did…
I can’t see the wheels.
Strollers are ackward devices at least the monster Graco one I have! When I have the "shade" pulled over, which I always do, I can’t see the front of the damn thing. To make it worse, I look through the peep window down at my son all the time so my spacial reference thinks the stroller ends where is feet are (which is the end of where I see).
Though in my own defense, I’ve only done this once and it was my sister who was walking with me and she walked in front of me on a narrow part of the sidewalk.
Honestly, my son weighs 10 lbs, why is the stroller half the size of a Smart Car?

Mothers are always distracted. Try being a mother and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Twice this week! I think it’s because they are just totally self centered and have the feeling that everyone should be getting out of their way cause there pushing a kid around. Or they are just inconsiderate and stupid. Either way it really pisses me off!!

It is a matter of visual perspective. I don’t think that every person or mother for that matter is trying to run down pedestrian with the strollers. I do think that they can and do often misjudge the safe following distance and clip people more than is reasonably tolerable.

taking babies shopping isn’t one of lifes better experiences!! I think we try to get in there, and get it done as quicky as possible, with no regard for anyone who gets in the way. Plus sometimes the wheels have a mind of their own

i have accidently clipped peoples ankles lots of times but have always appologised to them and made a joke that i need a license to operate a pushchair blah blah.
BUT i have cracked people deliberatly with the pushchair and that is cos they are either thoughtless idiots or inconsiderate arsewipes!
for example, i dont drive and have to take the bus to town or walk 3 miles, and there are places on a bus specifially for people with wheel chairs and pushchairs. most of the time if i get on with the buggy people move for me to fit it in, there are sometimes that people dont move and expect me to just stand in the middle of the isle while the bus is moving and have people sqeeze past me when they wanna get on or off just cos this idiot cant read the signs on the window properly!! this gripes me so usually when the bus stops i let them off before me and clip them with the wheels of the pushchair just to show how annoyed i am!!
OR when im in a busy shopping centre and everyone else can manage to hold a door open for the person behind them as just common courtesy! there is ALWAYS one that doesnt and when ive got a pushchair this is REALLY irritating as i have to struggle trying to hold the door open and push the buggy through at the same time all without loosing my mind, my shopping and my temper!!
so, you can see that sometimes the people that get hit with pram wheels deserve it!!
There are some people that just cant drive these things and should not be allowed them but people like me are just pure rotten and always get revenge lol!!
i hope this helped understand crazy hormonal womens pushchair rage a bit better??
have a good weekend!

They arent paying attention.
I just snatched my stroller away from my mother the other day in a warehouse store because she kept coming close to running into things and running over complete strangers. I have a fairly large stroller compared to most on the market, but its easy to maneuver. I also work in a baby store in the stroller department so I see it every day.
This is why I make my customers test the strollers. If the stroller doesnt fit you (In the same way that many women cant drive a full sized truck or SUV), then get a smaller one. If you cant manage that, ditch the stroller, deal with the back pain and get a baby carrier!
AND IM A MOM THAT OWNS A HUGE STROLLER AND HUGE TRUCK! (No I dont take two parking spaces, yes I can back in, paralell park, pull a full sized trailer, and avoid running over curbs.)
Some women need to remember that along with running into people, their kid is in that stroller. You’d think they would pay more attention!
Ok, down from my soap box.

They don’t do it on purpose. Children are very distracting, and it’s hard to judge the front of the stroller sometimes. Try getting your achillies heal run over by a lady pushing a Home Depot cart with wood on it (and I’m not talking about their regular shopping carts) and she doesn’t even apologize and does it twice in a row. Now that is painful!
